Life Care Center of Vista, California, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care for their loved ones. It calculates the ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and falls).
“The team had been working very hard on this, and to finally achieve this goal is just beyond words,” said Kim Kincaid, executive director. “The facility was just buzzing with positive energy after the announcement.”
The center received the rating on April 19, 2016.
Kincaid attributed the rating to the team’s hard work and perseverance.
“I am very proud of the team’s commitment and unrelenting focus on achieving excellent outcomes and always putting the residents and patients first,” said Sam Magtanong, vice president of parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Golden State Region. “Life Care Center of Vista has a passionate and caring leadership team and dedicated staff.”
