Less than an hour north of San Diego, Life Care Center of Vista offers many attractions in the area for visitors of all ages. For a day trip, we suggest:

 

  • The San Diego Tourism Authority has links for visitors in the area to view attractions, dining, shopping, hotels and events.
  • The Rancho Guajome Adobe is a historic museum in a house given to family by a wealthy cattle rancher in the area. Visitors can explore the house, with more than 20 rooms, and the grounds, including a veranda, chapel and courtyards.
  • San Diego Zoo Safari Park is an open habitat animal park that houses animals from all over the world, including giraffes, rhinoceroses, lemurs, cheetahs and California condors. Visitors can tour the park in the comfort of their vehicles.

    Alta Vista Gardens is a botanical garden with attractions centering on nature and art. There are 12 themed gardens featuring prehistoric plants and modern plants found all over the world.

    Boomers! Park has a number of family-friendly attractions, including go-karts, miniature golf, laser tag, bumper cars and carousels.
